Description

For roundworm, hookworm and tapeworms in cats.

Composition Ambex Two. Levamisole hydrochloride 10 mg, niclosamide 200 mg. Actions : Niclosamide possesses a direct disintegrating effect on scolices and strobila of tapeworms. Levamisole causes paralysis and expulsion of roundworms and hookworms. Indications : Roundworms (Toxocara sp. and Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Uncinaria stenocephala and Ancylostoma sp.) and tapeworms (Dipylidium sp. and Taenia sp. but not hydatids) in dogs and cats. Adverse Reactions : Overdosage may cause excess salivation, vomiting and disorientation. Dosage and Administration : Ambex Two. 1 tablet/2 kg bodyweight. For kittens and old cats divide the dose, giving half the dose in the morning meal and the same dose 8 to 12 hours later. Give tablets before or with a small meal; tablets may be crushed and added to food. Treat adult animals 2 to 4 times a year. Breeding animals should be treated twice during pregnancy at a 14 day interval and every 3 to 4 weeks during lactation. Treat puppies and kittens every fortnight until 12 weeks of age.
